Here are some ideas to follow when visiting this railway station.
Leave station on the town side and descend the steps to Holmes Road.
Turn left and then right for footpath to "Town Centre" over bridge.
Go through an alleyway to Wharf Street (A58).
Turn right and cross at the traffic lights to go up Tuel Lane.
Turn next left and you will see the Rochdale Canal locks and towpath.
This is the route to Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge.
Toilets and market nearby.
To reach the Canal Basin do not cross A58 and descend the slope on your right.
Follow towpath to the junction of the Rochdale Canal with the Calder & Hebble Navigation.
Walk along here to get to Brighouse.
