John Rylands Library

This late-Victorian neo-Gothic building is home to one of the world’s richest collections of books, manuscripts, maps and works of art and objects.

The library, which opened to the public in 1900, was founded by Enriqueta Augustina Rylands in memory of her husband,JohnRylands.

Sunday and Monday : 1200 – 1700; Tuesday – Saturday 1000 – 1700.
