To visit the Salford Museum and Art Gallery, take the train from one of our Manchester Stations and change at Salford Crescent.

Salford Museum and Art Gallery was the UK’s first free public library which opened in January 1850, followed in November by a museum and art gallery.

They offer both permanent displays and changing contemporary exhibitions.

A highlight of the museum is Lark Hill Place , a recreated Victorian street.

There is a range of events and activities for individuals, families , schools and groups.
