Salt’s Mill

Salts Mill is a former textile mill in the village of Saltaire.

When completed, the mill was the largest industrial building in the world by floor area.

It is now an art gallery, shopping centre and restaurant complex.

The 1853 Gallery features many paintings by David Hockney.

Open daily. The whole village is fascinating and nearby are the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, River Aire, Shipley Glen and Roberts Park.

Further details can also found at Saltaire Village website.

You can also travel to Salts Mill from Saltaire on the Leeds to Skipton Line and from Bradford Forster Square on the Leeds to Bradford Forster Square Line.
